Hourly pay rates based on experience. Company provides all equipment and vehicle.
Qualifications
Candidate must have Outside Plant Construction and design experience (Aerial and Underground). Candidate must have experience with Construction practices and techniques. Experience with Fiber Optic construction, installation, splicing and testing a plus. Familiarity with Trimble or Leica GPS units and software preferred.
Other Requirements
Must have Valid Drivers License and pass Drug test. Candidate may be expected to spend weekdays out in the field (overnights) if required, with weekends off. Must be in good health and be able to walk all day if needed.
Job Description
The Company has several positions open:
-OSP Construction Observation Engineer. This position requires the engineer to visit construction crews and work sites to observe and report work conformances to the project specifications. This position will require driving 100-300 miles per day.
-Field Design Engineer. This position will require the engineer to field design the most efficient and cost effective fiber route between two points. This will also require taking GPS shots of all visible construction obstacles and references along the path. Daily uploads of field notes/sketches and GPS data will be required. This position will require walking long distances each day. Familiarity with Autocad a plus.
-Field GPS Asbuilt Engineer. This position will require the engineer to identify (and possibly locate) existing Underground fiber in order to GPS it's constructed location/path. The engineer will also need to GPS all Handholes and proof redline documents. Proper coding and sequencing of all points is a must. Knowledge of Trimle and/or Leica GPS units a plus. Knowledge of ArcGIS, Civil 3D or Geopak a plus. This position will require walking and driving.
