Job Description

Cable Television Construction Project Supervisor is responsible for the end to end supervision of up to 10 coordinators and all tracking, coordination, construction, implementation, provisioning of all projects including cable television system upgrades, commercial, cellular sites in addition to Metro Ethernet (Metro-E) Projects. This position will be the primary support interface between all internal cable television construction department teams and our Customers. This will include all financial estimating and ensuring all projects are built on budget and on time.
Main Duties:
.
• Developing Scope of Work for cable television construction of service delivery, scheduling and cost estimates for New Build construction projects, commercial projects, Metro E, and any projects including system upgrades and cellular sites all construction teams
• Entering of job and scope requirements into CPT database application
• Manage Capital for all cable television construction projects quoted to stay within or under budget
• Manage Field Project Coordinators through survey process, cost estimating, project SOW and final construction completion for on- time project delivery
• Closeout and completion of all task milestones as may be required.
• Coordinate fiber ISP/OSP projects with Fiber Project Coordinators, system field personnel and contractors. Develop and maintain good relations with system personnel
• Coordinate and maintain multiple projects simultaneously
• Establish timelines and milestones for the successful implementation of assigned initiatives
• Identify & coordinate the necessary resources for each project to implement new projects
• Work with manager to make sure that goals throughout lifecycle of projects meet all expectations
• Communicate progress and issues that may hinder a successful implementation to manager
• Work with management to provide direction to project team members and resolve areas of contention
• Communicate with management and understand implications of projects to establish priority as needed
• Provide weekly project status to Director of Construction
• Assist in development of project budget and maintain budget throughout lifecycle
• Ability to travel regionally, conduct field surveys and support multiple work groups.



IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the Main Duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and/or Experience: BA or 5 years direct work experience with cable television construction and High School Diploma or GED. Working knowledge of MS Office applications with weighted emphasis on Excel and/or Oracle based database applications.
Language skills: Ability to read, analyze, write, and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees and the general public.
Computer skills: Technical understanding and working knowledge of all components engineered in a HFC Network including working technical knowledge of communication services over Ethernet. Experience in engineering design of cable television Fiber networks and mapping applications tools. Strong PC skills including MS Excel, Visio, MS Power Point, MS Project, CIFA and CPT
