Job Description
Our offices in Sacramento and Fresno are hiring Network Designers. These positions are for immediate hire. The requirements of the position(s) are as follows:
JOB DUTIES:
• Use Auto Cad, Spatial FM, Load Data and ATT Map Applications to create Fiber/COAX designs for New Build, plant extensions pertaining to SDU, MDU, Commercial and Forced relocated throughout East Area
• Design SDU/MDU New Build projects in ten (10) days or less and respond to developer's Letter of Intent. Input designs into Spatial Info and As-Built for documentation
• Design Commercial New Build plant extensions and respond to in house construction requests in three (3) days or less
• Document all designed passings in the Company's tracking sheets and Blue forms
• Attend joint trench meetings and pre-engineering meetings
• Obtain agency permits when necessary
• Perform other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the Job Duties listed above satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Education and/or Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of cable construction and /or engineering experience with a thorough understanding of all aspects relative to HFC architectures.
• Language skills: Ability to read, analyze, write, and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees and the general public.
• Computer skills: Proficient computer knowledge, including Auto Cad, Load Data, ATT Map Applications Spatial FM, Access, Word, Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
• Mathematical skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Reasoning ability: Ability to solve practical problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
