Other Requirements
Minimum of two years in System Technician position, or comparable outside plant construction experience preferred. Ability to work independently, with various hand tools, in all types of weather, and at elevations of up to 30 feet. Experience with coax and fiber splicing and system sweep required.
Job Description
In addition to all duties of BBT-1 (installer), BBT-2 (Service Tech), and Construction Tech, the System Technician will be responsible for maintaining the outside plant. Duties will include, outage repair, system sweep, power supply maintenance and NESC corrections. System Technician will rotate in an on-call schedule and interface with other utilities and city authorities for emergency situations.
