• 7+ years CATV/telecom operational management experience. • Engineering degree or equivalent Industry experience. • Strong technical knowledge across Headend, IP, Network platforms. • Ability to explain issues and projects in terms appropriate to the audience. • Ability to prepare project plans, manage projects, meet deadlines and resolve issues. • Extensive project management experience in activation of services and enhancements. • Ability to lead/communicate with other groups

Reporting to the Regional Inside Plant Director, the Area Director will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the operations of a Master Headend as well as 20 hubs providing cable television, internet, and voice over IP service to 1M subscribers.
• Directing a staff of 57
• Preparing / reviewing / administering capital and operational budgets
• Reviewing / designing and standardizing procedures for maintenance operations and outage handling.
• Preparing / administering activation plans for Video/New service launches.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 7+ years CATV/telecom operational management experience.
• Engineering degree or equivalent Industry experience.
• Strong technical knowledge across Headend, IP, Network platforms.
• Ability to explain issues and projects in terms appropriate to the audience.
• Ability to prepare project plans, manage projects, meet deadlines and resolve issues.
• Extensive project management experience in activation of services and enhancements.
• Ability to lead/communicate with other groups to meet project plan objectives.
• Track record in managing capital and operating expenses against established budgets as well as identifying issues and proposing solutions.
• Flexibility to adapt to frequent changes in direction and project priorities.
• Ability to establish relationships with all levels within and outside the Company
