Qualifications
Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license; satisfactory driving record
• Operate a bucket truck with trailer
• Ability to interpret and correctly fill out various work order forms.
• Ability to communicate verbally
• Read and understand site plans, maps and diagrams needed to support projects
• Ability to interact with customers and co-workers
• Ability to read and understand maps, drawings and diagrams for project build process
Other Requirements
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to effectively use telephone for communication
• Ability to lift and carry supplies and equipment, up to 70 lbs
• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability to drive for long periods of time
• Requires dexterity skills: stooping and standing
• Ability to work in inclement weather
Job Description
Purpose of Job:
The purpose of this position is to build new cable plant and system upgrade
Description:
• Coax cable splicing
• Lashing fibers/Coax
• Build power supply
• Return alignment
• Ingress suppression CATV plant
• Activate new plant
• Sweep forward and return path
• Performs clean-up and salvage of wrecked out materials; provides general assistance to other employees as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Materials and Equipment
• Cell phone, hard hats, various size tools and equipment which include, but are not limited to: screwdrivers, pliers, ladders, shovels, test meters, sweep gear, o-scopes, spectrum analyzer, waveform monitor, vector scope, signal analysis meter, bench sweep alignment equipment, locating equipment, signal generator, DVM, VOM and leakage detection equipment
Special Skills, knowledge and Abilities
• Knowledge of basic mathematics
• Knowledge and use of PC
• Good verbal, written and interpersonal communications
• Ability to organize materials, tools and equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot, solve and repair technical problems
• Ability to interpret maps and navigate cities

• High school diploma or GED
