Must Meet and maintain all requirements of an apprentice. Must maintain valid NV or CA DL and have reliabel transportation to and from the job site. 100% understanding and compliance with company safety program, including OSHA 10 Certification. Responsible for performing on-site installations of fiber optic systems: including accurate fiber ID, prepping fibers, splicing, hot-cuts fiber audis and working with the customer, management and employees to assure a quality installation.

A Minimum 2 years of fiber experience, proficient at termianting and splicing of fiber optic cables. Requirements include strong troubleshooting skills using test equipment and experience - as well as the ability to accurately prepare project documentation for OTDR traces and final OTDR testing on all projcet fibers at /1625. Must be able to analyze OTDR results; build splice templates, and bidirectional teace stacking Net Test and MS Office proficiency requied. Must have own vehicle.

Under general supervision, this position will have a demonstrated understanding of the practical applications, proficiencies and ability to work independently performing underground and aerial assignements. Must be familiar and have a working understanding of EMT/MDU sub-structure construction; lock-box/vault placement, coaxial and fiber optic handling and placement along with a general understanding of blue print/map readin prelims comprehension and the use of basic test equipment, such as TDR, locator, VOM and SLM. This position is involeved with gathering, completing & submitting accurate & timley paperwork necessary for billing.
Ability to work a flexible work schedule; weekend(s) 1st, 2nd &/or 3rd shift. Ablity to lift 70 lbs. in standing position. Ablity to work in cofined spaces, off laders, scaffolding or lift decices up to 50'. Ablity to perfom work while bending, reaching and twisting. Ablity to prefrom work using basic hand, power and pneumatic tools.
