Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Field Supervisor for our Mississauga office.
Previous work experience in the cable, satellite or telecommunication industry is a must for this role.
Wirecomm Systems, Inc. has an employment opportunity for an individual with energy, intellect and the need to achieve. This position manages the direction, coordination and evaluation of our team of field technicians.
Summary: Oversee technicians and ensure quality service is being performed. Serve customers and perform installations. This position will oversee the installations, upgrades and repairs of residential cable products and services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
• Coaching technicians as needed
• Issuing CAN forms to technicians as needed
• Carrying a float of equipment, materials for tech support
• Using internal and Rogers metric reporting to monitor techs on their team (attendance, on-time, performance, procedures, safety, vehicles, customer satisfaction)
• Coordinate with Field Manager on daily responsibilities including any VIP Projects
• Completion of referred calls with 48 hour timeframe whenever possible
• Calling all customers real time when the following codes are used: 81/82/83/85/408/651
• Filing all paperwork in regards to their team with HR and taking a copy for their tech files at all times
• Taking initiative on poor performers using reports at hand
• Working closely with Wirecomm and Rogers dispatch in regards to technician whereabouts, on-time compliance
• Working closely with Validation in rectifying any and all tech coding issues
• Ensuring their techs have the proper tools, training on tools and safety gear to succeed at all times
• Monthly ride along
• Monthly safety inspections
• Monthly vehicle inspections
• Daily timesheet submitted
• Monitoring expenses closely
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• Previous industry related experience as Lead Technician or Supervisor (cable, satellite or security installation)
• Have an overall understanding of the work environment and process
• High School Diploma and one year related experience
• Knowledgeable on Microsoft office applications
• Certified as a Rogers trainer
• Valid driver's license
• Intermediate level of technical skills required to complete assignments
• Strong organizational and communications skills are a must Good writing skills
• Must be able to work under pressure
