Candidates must be able to work alone, have great customer service skills and be able to absorb information quickly. Candidates must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, be able to pass a drug screen and background check. Prior experience in the Cable industry is required; must be at least 21 years old.
Job Description
A. Position Summary:
Position is responsible for safe and quality installation of cable services for customers. Position also educates customer on the use of new services.
B. Major Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Install Cable TV and high-speed data and or digital services, VOIP, to customers within a determined area.
2. Install and/or repair coaxial cable lines inside and outside of customer’s homes pursuant to cable system standards; all jobs must be performed in a manner that meets Vitel and Contracting Company’s quality standards.
3. Measure, record and determine cable signal strength and general drop and grounding conditions or installations and trouble shoot problems where necessary.
4. Maintain, secure and account for equipment inventories, including modems, converters, drop equipment, and other equipment issues by company or cable system.
5. Prepare regular, accurate, legible, and timely cable system installation, service, and production, mileage, and time sheet paperwork for supervisors.
6. Display excellent customer service while representing Vitel Communications and our Contracting Companies.
7. Work week is from Sunday through Monday; shifts may include Saturdays and Sundays.
7. Perform other duties as assigned.
