Job Description
Due to exceptional growth, Nexlink Global Services is seeking a Surveyor. The Surveyor is responsible for understanding routes and planning the placement of underground utilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
• Ability to read and understand a map to plan route to dispatched address to complete the assigned work
• Ability to visibly determine how the underground utilities are routed to the prospective customer’s residence
• Prepared to draw and place prospective route of fiber drop on paper to scale
• Communicate proposed route to customer or quality control inspector
• Look for potential hazards or safety issues prior to finalizing proposed route for installation
• Gather all property information to ensure proper locates of utilities can be completed
• Leave paperwork and door tag alerting visit to location
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. • Understanding of how underground utilities are construction and placed in a residential setting
• Ability to conceptualize, route and complete a daily list of jobs in a logical time effective manner
• Neat handwriting and ability to draw proposed route to scale on a survey sheet
• Interact with customers and clients to achieve a positive outcome.
• Good communication and problem resolution skills
• Ability to operate Microsoft family of software
