Training begins immediately following successful completion of Background check and drug screen.
Pay
Compensation is based on an average hourly rate, determined by the number of hours worked vs production. Guaranteed a minimum of state minimum wage per hour.
Qualifications
1. Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen 2. Must have a satisfactory driving record 3. Must be over the age of 21 to qualify for a company vehicle PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Driving for long periods of time. Requires dexterity skills: digging, crawling, stooping and standing. Lifting and carrying up to 75lbs of company tools and equipment. Climbing on ladders. Works inside and outside throughout the year. Subject to encounter extreme weather conditions.

Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Performs new connects, reconnects, requested and non-pay disconnects; add outlets; installs and/or removes converters; performs upgrades and downgrades of service.
• Makes customer drop installations (exterior and interior) complete from tap to antenna terminals on customer equipment in both single and multiple unit dwellings, including pre-wired units.
• Analyzes picture quality and judges acceptability of picture delivered following installation of cable service.
• Climbs ladders or other structures as needed. Lifts and carries loads up to 70 lbs; uses bucket truck when required. Works within limited confines, such as crawl spaces.
• Manipulates connectors, fasteners and wire and uses hand tools.
• Uses customary CATV hand and power tools in performance of job duties.
• Completes appropriate paperwork functions as prescribed by system management.
• Reads signal levels through use of field strength meter; adds and subtracts levels in installation problems; installs connectors on different types of drop cable; maintains proper clearances; installs tap-off devices.
• Properly uses, stores and maintains a VOM or DMM to check for “open” or “short” on line as well as AC and DC voltages.
• Informs customers of FCC Rules and Company policies as they pertain to customers.
• Performs clean-up and salvage of wrecked out materials; provides general assistance to other employees as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS AND ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Connects and disconnects cable, pay television, HSD and Telephony services.
2. Performs upgrades, downgrades, pre-wiring and multiple dwelling installations.
3. Installs drops, outlets, converters, cable modems, MTA’s and other cable system devices in subscriber homes.
4. Performs tap audits.
5. Reviews, completes and signs customer work orders ensuring that all paperwork is properly and accurately completed.
6. Proper handling of moneys required by MSO
7. Checks subscriber television reception and properly tunes television set.
8. Maintains and stocks necessary materials and tools within personal or company vehicle in a neat and organized manner.
9. Recognizes, practices and ensures safety rules and procedures.
OTHER DUTIES:
1. Performs all other duties as assigned.
2. May sell additional services and/or products to customers.
3. May collect converter deposits, installation fees, past-due payments and other customer payments.
4. May conduct CLI testing and complete repairs.
5. May perform minor troubleshooting and small repair problems back to the tap.
