Seeking QUALIFIED LINEMEN.
We are a small company looking to fill two trucks with competent, qualified people. We are tired of playing games with people who tell us they are God’s gift to line construction, only to find out they are absolutely anything but. They are druggies, drunks, and wife beaters. They have DUI’s, they can’t drive, they can’t climb, they don’t like working late or on weekends, and then they complain when they don’t make any money. They constantly ask for advances, and then they whine when we actually take the advance out of their paycheck (so we refuse any and all advances anymore, FYI).
If you have any of the following qualifications, PLEASE – DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS POSITION
1. You cannot pass a new hire drug test.
2. You cannot pass a random drug screening.
3. You have a DUI / DWI / Etc. on your record in the last (7) years.
4. Aside from no. 3, you do not have a clean driving record. This will be checked and must be approved by our insurance company before we hire you.
5. You have a felony conviction on your record in the past (7) years. Some exceptions can be made, but if you have any sort of felony of a violent or sexual nature EVER, do not apply.
6. You are not production oriented.
7. You don’t like to work hard.
8. You cannot run a crew of 3-5 effectively.
9. You have absolutely no respect for the vehicles and equipment your company spends their money on to help you produce more, and constantly tear up trucks, tools, and trailers.
10. You like to steal from your employer (tools, copper, gas, whatever – we watch closely).
11. You cannot complete daily production paperwork for you crew.
If you have none of those qualifications, preference will be given to those individuals who:
1. Have a CDL.
2. Are self motivated and like to make money.
3. Appreciates a very good rate of production pay.
4. Can climb.
5. Can climb well.
6. Have experience with ADSS cable installation.
7. Can do paperwork every day, and do it legibly and comprehensibly.
We are an honest, eager, small company looking to grow with good, solid employees. We don’t like turning over trucks to new crews every two or three months. We don’t like dealing with constant unwarranted headaches. We are by no means perfect, but we try to be responsible, fair, and professional. We are only asking for our employees to treat us with the same respect that we treat them. We will take advantage of our state-given 90-day probationary period to make sure you are what you say you are, and what we expected to get.
