Strong technical aptitude, articulate, professional and customer service oriented; Excellent written and verbal presentation skills; Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; 5+ years of experience working as a sales engineer or similar equivalent position; 5+ years of related experience including demonstrated ability to develop new business
Other Requirements
Experience listening to/hearing the customer and the ability to cater to their needs by tailoring a product and solution for them; Experience writing contracts, defining pricing and setting Customer expectations; Experience responding to RFP, RFI and RFQ for commercial and government contracts; Experience writing detailed statements of work and preparing Visio diagrams; Deep knowledge of outside plant utilizing coaxial cable and fiber optic transmission technologies
Job Description
Rewarding position available with Wave Broadband as our Sales Engineer for the Seattle, WA region! The perfect candidate will be responsible for providing sales engineering expertise in support of sales and field staff to develop, design, present and close complex Business Solutions product and service opportunities to prospective customers.
Responsibilities:
•Work with the Business Solutions sales and internal operations/engineering teams to discover and define business opportunities and provide technical support during the pre-sales process including solution design, presentation, demonstration, proof of concept, cost benefits analysis, etc.
•Interface with customers to determine technical requirements, feasibility, and expectations
•Lead discussions with potential and existing customers in discovering and designing enterprise solutions based on a variety of criteria including a clear description of services, functionality, scalability and cost
•Work closely with the Business Solutions, marketing, sales and operations teams to understand existing and emerging products and services, define their value to the market, and implementation guidelines
•Translate technical jargon to plain English so that customers understand the business benefit and value of complex technical solutions and services
•Provide technical support to the sales team during the pre and post-sale phases
•Manage and ensure commercial project execution and completion
Prior experience working with Seattle based TELCOs a plus!
