Qualifications
Preferred 5 years previous experience at System Technician level.
Ability to climb poles, use ladders and operate bucket trucks.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Insurable driving record.
Pass pre-employment background check.
Other Requirements
Ability to work in inclement weather, confined spaces and poorly ventilated environments.
Ability to travel as necessary.
On-call rotation, shift work and overtime, as required.
Experience with fiber splicing, restoration and troubleshooting.
Demonstrated proficiency with forward and reverse sweep.
Demonstrated proficiency with power supply maintenance.
Working knowledge of NESC requirements and cable construction.
Job Description
Baja Broadband is seeking an experienced System Technician, to perform plant maintenance and associated work, in the Alamogordo, NM system. An ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in the same or similar position. SCTE and NCTI certifications a plus.
