Sunshine Communications is seeking Direct Sales Representatives to sell Cable Television, Broadband Internet, and Telephone services for a major communications company in San Diego. MAJOR JOB DUTIES:
•Have a clear understanding of the Cable Operator's product and price structure.
•Interact with customers in a professional manner.
•Contact customers listed on the "street sheets" to communicate offers.
•Complete Daily Sales Report at the end of each work day.
•Reconcile cash or equipment collected on a daily basis.
•Complete sales orders accurately and legibly. Sales orders must be turned in at the end of each work day.
•Report any customer problem to the Sales Project Manager.
•Meet sales goals as agreed upon.
job RELATED QUALIFICATIONS AND requirements:
This position requires that the candidate pass an extensive background investigation, drug screening, physical exam, and possess a valid California driver's license.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education:
High school diploma with some college course preferred, or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents. Ability to speak effectively before groups and comfortably engage customers in one-on-one conversations.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add and subtract; calculate sales order payments; balance cash/check payments with receipts/work orders.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to determine the customer's needs and wants and match up with existing sales products and services. Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
•Minimum 2 to 3 yrs of direct sales experience.
•Proficiency in the use of spreadsheets and/or word processing required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
•Walking for extended periods of time
•Communication skills, verbal and written
•Ability to see within normal parameters
•Ability to hear within normal range.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment is spent outdoors 90% of the time and 10% is spent indoors completing paperwork.
