Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of two years of experience with twisted pair telephone cable, as well as one year of FTTH/CATV and/or IPTV Installations. A valid driver’s license is required. Must be able to access customer’s attic and work in confined spaces. Must be able to work in crawl spaces or other confined areas.

GENERAL SUMMARY
G4S Technology has 10 open positions of Home Service Technician. This position is for a project installing PON networks, fusion splicing, placing ONT and BBU as well as copper loops with fiber fed Calix equipment, for DSL, IPTV and dial tone. This project is currently in the testing phase with IPTV and its deployment.
This is regular Tip and Ring phone work. Counting line equipment blocks in the CO, cross connecting (wire wrap) to the cable side of the frame. Applicant will maintain all serving cable, splicing in drops, (no terminals) translating work order pair numbers to color code. BSW drop to the Network interface (NID), IW quad, CAT5, (and Coax/ HPNA), bonding and grounding with #6 ground wire. Installing the Modem (RG), switches, set top boxes and setting up computers and wireless networks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
• On-site work will include both copper and/or PON for video, voice and data to the customer.
• Must be able to install electronic equipment at customer’s location.
• Must be able to use a vehicle mounted laptop to receive work orders.
• Must be able to use both copper and optical test equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
