Job Description
I & R TECHNICIAN---- MINIMAL OF 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN THE INSTALLATION AND REPAIR OF POTS (COPPER) & DSL TELEPHONE SERVICE. MUST HAVE OWN TRUCK/TOOLS, ETC.
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
• Performs all types of cable maintenance work associated with all network facilities including repairs from the central office to the customer premise equipment.
• Performs all duties associated with the installation, removals, rearrangements and maintenance of single/mulit line station equipment and associated apparatus.
• Repairs and rehabilitates drop wire, station protector and grounding.
Skills/Requirements:
• Requires high level of customer contact to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Possess the knowledge, skill and ability to perform the above duties associated with minimum supervision.
MUST HAVE: Truck/Tools Requirements:
• Late model van, truck or bucket truck
• 28’ fiberglass extension ladder
• Telephony hand tools
• Dynatel 965 test equipment preferred
o Optional test equipment -- Sidekick or 100k meter or Harris TS100
