Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required; trade school education is highly desirable.
• Must have excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with customers and neat appearance.
• Requires a valid driver’s license and a good driving record, must pass alcohol/drug test.
• Requires strong demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
• Must be willing to work various shifts including weekends, late nights, in all type of inclement weather.
• Must be able to work independently and in a group.
Other Requirements
Tools, equipment necessary to perform job and company vehicle are provided.
• Field exposure to one or more disagreeable or hazardous conditions 100% of work schedule.
• Must be able to lift and carry 70 lbs.
• Must be able to operate basic hand tools.
• Must be able to climb poles and ladders.
• Must be able to carry ladder weighing a minimum of 70 lbs over an uneven terrain
• Travel may be required.
Job Description
Job Summary
• Under general supervision, performs all aspects of cable installation for single and multi-unit dwellings
• Performs leakage detection and repair.
• Provide efficient delivery and service of the product into customer site and provides the necessary education to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Performs all aspects of cable installation and service calls in the customer’s premises, including, but not limited to, outage restoration, coax splicing, amp setup, etc.
• Complete paperwork accurately and reports and records work order status updates to dispatchers.
• Read and understand system maps, plans and other visuals related to maintenance and service.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems as appropriate.
• Operation of company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner, and have a good driving record.
