Qualifications
You must be an experienced coaxial splicer proficient in splicing actives, taps, and other passives. You also must be able to rebalance the forward and return after changes to the plant and resolve any problems.
Other Requirements
Must have all insurances, reliable bucket truck, tools, necessary safety equipment, and Stealth.
Job Description
Targeted amplifiers are being replaced as well as some of the tap faceplates and passives to new design. Splicing takes place between midnight and 06:00 on active bi-directional plant with advanced services. After splicing is complete for the night the splicer will then rebalance any actives spliced as well as any actives affected by the changed locations. Plant must be completely operational by 06:00. This is during the nighttime hours and all splicers will have police details to control traffic. These details are provided for you at no charge. Paperwork is minimal, you report what you spliced including pole number. Any active rebalance info must also be supplied such as inputs/outputs pads, and eq's. We are meter balancing the forward with 2 carriers and the return using the Stealth. Though we prefer the Stealth system we are open to other methods if you have other equipment. Ultimately we'll decide on whether to let you use your method. Plant is almost exclusively bucket accessible.
