Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Directional Drill Locator to join our growing team. If you have a strong background in horizontal directional drilling (HDD), underground utility locating, and take pride in safety, accuracy, and teamwork, we want to hear from you. Must be willing to travel.
Responsibilities:
Operate HDD locating equipment to accurately track drill head position, depth, and direction
Guide Directional Drill Operators to ensure accurate and safe bore paths
Read and interpret bore plans, utility markings, and underground utility maps
Identify potential underground obstacles and utility conflicts
Maintain clear communication with drill operators and crew members throughout drilling operations
Perform routine inspections and maintenance of locating equipment
Work closely with crew members to complete projects safely and efficiently
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Directional Drill Locator
Experience with HDD locating systems and tracking equipment
Ability to read and interpret bore plans, blue prints, and utility markings
Strong understanding of underground utility safety, 811 procedures, and OSHA standards
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Valid driver's license
