Underground construction exp preferred but not required. Ability to perform physical demanding outdoor work, dependable, punctual and willing to learn.
Job Description
Wyrenet Technologies is seeking a dependable, hardworking Underground Laborer to assist our Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) crew with underground telecommunications construction projects.
The ideal candidate will work alongside an experienced drill operator and locator to support daily drilling operations, including:
Perform hand digging and potholing to safely expose and identify existing underground utilities.
Assist with spotting utilities and maintaining safe clearance during drilling operations.
Dig entry and exit pits for directional drilling operations.
Assist with setting up and breaking down drilling equipment and job sites.
Help install underground conduit, pull fiber optic cables, and perform general underground construction tasks.
Handle shovels, digging bars, and other hand and power tools.
Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing materials and equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe work area, including proper traffic and pedestrian safety precautions.
Backfill excavations and assist with restoring disturbed work areas.
Follow instructions from the drill operator and crew supervisor to ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently.
