FTTH FIBER TESTERS NEEDED
SkyRock Communications is actively seeking experienced FTTH Fiber Testers for upcoming production-based projects.
THIS POSITION IS FOR FIBER TESTING ONLY — NO SPLICING.
We are looking for experienced, dependable technicians who are fully equipped, able to work independently, and capable of accurately testing and documenting FTTH fiber networks.
Scope of Work
* Perform FTTH fiber optic testing
* Conduct OTDR testing on completed fiber routes
* Perform live fiber testing when required
* Verify fiber continuity and network integrity
* Identify excessive loss, breaks, bends, and other fiber-related issues
* Troubleshoot failed or questionable test results
* Properly name, save, and organize test files
* Upload and submit completed testing documentation
* Follow customer testing procedures and acceptance requirements
* Maintain accurate daily production records
Requirements
* Previous FTTH fiber testing experience preferred
* Must be able to connect and upload results through EXFO Exchange when required
* Strong understanding of OTDR traces and fiber test results
* Ability to identify and document fiber faults and unacceptable loss
* Ability to read fiber prints, schematics, and assignments
* Reliable transportation
* Smartphone/tablet or laptop for documentation and file submission
* Ability to work independently and meet daily production goals
* Professional communication and attention to detail
* Must follow all project safety requirements
Ideal Candidates
We are especially interested in experienced fiber technicians who:
* Can mobilize quickly
* Are already fully tooled for fiber testing
* Understand FTTH network architecture
* Can efficiently test multiple locations/routes per day
* Submit clean, accurate, and properly labeled test documentation
* Take pride in completing work correctly the first time
Compensation
*Production-based compensation.*
Pay will be based on completed and accepted testing production. Additional project details, rates, testing requirements, and locations will be provided to qualified candidates after signing NDA.
