Job Description
ESTABLISHED DROP BURY CREWS
We’re interested in hearing from experienced crews that are already equipped and capable of handling drop bury work independently.
would consider renting out a vp30 with an enclosed trailer to the right crew
Ideal crews:
* Have their own truck, trailer, machine, and basic tooling
* Have experience with fiber drop bury and underground telecom work
* Can communicate well and keep jobs moving without constant supervision
* Take restoration and customer property seriously
* Are dependable and professional
* Are comfortable traveling
* Want a long-term working relationship instead of chasing one short project after another
We understand what it takes to operate a crew because we do the same work ourselves. Equipment costs money, fuel costs money, travel costs money, and good crews need to be able to make money.
If you produce quality work, communicate, and handle your responsibilities, we want you to have an opportunity to do well with us.
GROUND HANDS
We’re also looking for hardworking people who want to get into the underground telecommunications industry or continue building their experience.
Typical responsibilities include:
* Potholing and exposing utilities
* Prepping bore shots
* Hand digging
* Assisting with drop bury and plowing operations
* Pulling fiber
* Landscaping and restoration
* Loading and unloading equipment/material
* Helping wherever necessary to keep the crew productive
Experience is a plus, but it is not required.
We can teach somebody how to do the work. We cannot teach somebody to care, show up consistently, or have a good attitude.
We’re looking for people who are dependable, willing to travel, physically capable of doing manual labor, and interested in learning the trade.
Ground hand pay: $200–$300 per day, depending on experience, ability, work ethic, and responsibility.
Workers are paid every Friday.
There is room to earn more and take on additional responsibility as you become more valuable to the crew.

About Us
North Coast Underground is a Wisconsin-based underground telecommunications contractor built from the field up.
I’m actively in the field everyday. unlike brokers who have never done this job I know what it’s like to work long days, fight bad ground, deal with breakdowns, travel, handle difficult customers, and still be expected to get production done.
Because of that, I treat others the way I want to be treated.
I expect people to work hard, communicate, take care of equipment, respect customers’ property, and do quality work. In return, I believe good workers and good subcontractors should be treated fairly, paid properly, communicated with clearly, and given an opportunity to make money and grow.
We value quality over quantity. We take pride in clean installs, good restoration, professionalism, and representing ourselves and the companies we work for the right way.
If you’re an established drop bury crew looking for more work, or a ground hand looking for an opportunity to get into the industry and build something long term, send me a message.
Please include your name, location, experience, and whether you are applying as a ground hand or an established crew.
If you are an established crew, please also include what equipment you currently have and the areas you are willing to travel to.
