Job Description
Cable Splicer – Spectrum High Split Project

ITG Communications is looking for Cable Splicers to join long-term Spectrum High Split projects in multiple markets. These projects are expected to run approximately 2 years, providing consistent work for qualified technicians.
Job Requirements
Experienced cable splicer with strong HFC plant knowledge.
Must be able to splice all cable sizes 500 and larger.
Ability to remove, replace, and install:
Line Extenders (LEs)
Amplifiers
Taps
Splitters
Other active/passive network components
High Split experience is preferred.
Bucket truck experience is helpful but not required.
Must be able to work independently and complete assigned work efficiently.
Must maintain high-quality workmanship and accurate documentation.
Must have the ability to troubleshoot and verify work using an approved field meter.
Meter Requirements
Technicians will need a VIAVI ONX 620 or ONX 630 meter with loopback capability. VIAVI's ONX platform supports DOCSIS 3.1 testing, and the appropriate configurations support return-signal generation and loopback testing.
Meters are available for lease in some cases, so technicians who do not currently have an approved meter may still be considered.
Production Expectations
The average qualified technician should be capable of completing approximately 4–5 actives per night, depending on job complexity, travel, and site conditions.
Project Benefits
2-year long-term projects
Work available in multiple markets
Consistent workload
Opportunity for experienced splicers to stay busy long term
Meter leasing available for qualified technicians
High Split experience is a strong advantage
If you are an experienced Cable Splicer looking for steady, long-term work on Spectrum High Split projects, we want to hear from you.
