Qualifications
3 years minimum experience in fiber/coax construction. High school diploma or GED. Valid drivers license with good drivers record. Ability to lift 70 lbs, work at heights of 25' and climb. Strong understanding of safe aerial construction practices. Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a crew.
Job Description
Install, lash, and maintain aerial fiber optic cable, coax and strand on utility poles. Safely complete construction, pole transfers and make-ready tasks, as well as other related tasks. Operate bucket trucks, ladders, climbing gear and related tools safely and efficiently. Read and interpret construction prints, splice sheets and various utility pole route maps generated by others. Maintain a clean jobsite, truck and work environment. Follow safety protocol and complete daily job documentation. Participate in an on-call rotation when trained and ready.
