Qualifications
2-3 years direct fiber splicing experience or related CATV/Telecom experience. High school diploma or GED. Valid drivers license with a good driving record. Ability to lift 70 lbs. Comfortable working at heights up to 25 ft. Strong understanding of industry-standard fiber construction and safety practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Job Description
Perform fiber optic splicing for FTTH deployments and BAU maintenance/repair. Troubleshoot fiber issues and perform restoration work as needed. Build, prep, and maintain splice enclosures, pedestals, cabinets and handholes. Read and interpret fiber maps, splice schematics, and construction prints. Maintain a clean, organized work area and accurate project documentation. Participate in on-call rotation once trained and ready.
