Experience with underground fiber/coax drop installation, own vehicle, tools, and required equipment, knowledge of safe digging practices and utility locate requirements, ability to safely operate trenching equipment and hand tools, ability to lift up to 75 lbs, ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, valid driver's license with a clean driving record, ability to pass a background check and drug screening if required by the project
Other Requirements
2–3 person crew required, available to start immediately or in the near future, willing to work as a 1099 Independent Contractor, safety-focused with a professional work ethic, must comply with all company and project safety requirements
Job Description
Seralex Communications is looking for experienced Drop Bury Crews (2–3 technicians per crew) for 1099 project-based work.
Responsibilities:
- Install and bury underground coaxial and fiber drops to connect homes and businesses
- Operate trenchers, vibratory plows, boring tools, and other equipment
- Read utility locate marks and follow safe digging practices
- Dig trenches (typically 6–8 inches deep)
- Restore lawns, sidewalks, and landscaping after installation
- Deliver quality work while meeting production goals
Requirements:
- Experience with underground cable installation
- Own vehicle, tools, and required equipment
- Knowledge of safe digging practices and utility locate requirements
- Ability to safely operate trenching equipment and hand tools
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
