Job Description

Advanced Powering Services, Inc. (APSI) is seeking an experienced, dependable Telecommunications Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day aerial and coax network maintenance. This is an in-house field position for someone who can work independently, troubleshoot plant issues, and complete repairs safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities include:

· Coax cable splicing, repair, and replacement

· Pole transfers and aerial plant relocation

· De-lashing and re-lashing coax and fiber cables

· Installing and replacing strand, hardware, pedestals, and related components

· Repairing damaged cable, lashing wire, grounds, and aerial attachments

· Performing routine plant maintenance and service-restoration work

· Identifying and reporting damaged or unsafe plant conditions

· Reading construction prints, maps, and work orders

· Completing required production, quality, safety, and closeout documentation

· Operating bucket trucks, cable trailers, and standard telecommunications tools

· Responding to emergency or after-hours maintenance needs when required

A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required. CDL, fiber-splicing experience, traffic-control certification, and previous experience working within an active cable television network are preferred.

APSI is looking for a technician who takes ownership of their work, communicates clearly, follows safety procedures, and can be relied upon to complete assignments correctly the first
Regulatory & Safety:

Understanding of right-of-way permits, utility coordination, and local regulations
Knowledge of safety standards and procedures for telecommunications construction

Other Requirements:

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Flexibility to support after-hours or emergency work if needed
