Fiber Optic Ribbon Splicing Technician (Entry Level – Will Train) 1099 preferred
Contract Position | Minimum 6-Month Assignment | Indoor Data Center Work
Nano-Lux is seeking motivated individuals with an entry-level fiber optic technician background to join our team supporting hyperscale data center projects. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with modern fiber optic ribbon splicing technologies while working in a professional indoor environment.
Responsibilities
Splice and test fiber optic ribbon cables inside hyperscale data centers.
Perform fiber routing, cable management, labeling, and documentation.
Operate modern ribbon fusion splicers such as the Fujikura 90R, 100R, or similar equipment.
Assist with fiber testing, troubleshooting, and quality control.
Follow customer standards, safety requirements, and project procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
Entry-level fiber optic technician experience.
Previous data center or hyperscale experience is a plus.
Experience with fiber splicing, fiber testing, or cable installation preferred.
Familiarity with ribbon fiber architectures is beneficial.
Experience working with micro-fiber (200µm to 200µm) ribbon cable is a plus, but training will be provided.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
