Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of underground utility locating experience. Knowledge of telecommunications, fiber, electric, gas, water, and sewer facilities. Ability to read utility maps and construction drawings. Experience using locating equipment and GPS tools. Familiarity with California DigAlert/811 requirements. Valid driver's license with clean driving record. Strong communication and documentation skills. Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. Utility locating certifications are a plus.

Job Description
MetroRF is seeking an experienced Underground Utility Locator to support telecommunications and infrastructure projects throughout Southern California. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately locating and marking underground utility facilities to ensure safe excavation and construction activities.
Responsibilities:
Locate and mark underground utilities using electromagnetic locating equipment, ground penetrating radar (GPR), and other approved methods.
Identify and mark telecommunications, fiber optic, electric, gas, water, and sewer facilities in accordance with industry standards and local regulations.
Respond to utility locate requests within required timeframes.
Review utility records, maps, and construction drawings to verify facility locations.
Document locate activities and maintain accurate field records.
Coordinate with project managers, construction crews, utility owners, and customers.
Perform quality assurance checks to ensure accuracy of markings and documentation.
Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
Support emergency locate requests when required.
Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools in a professional manner.
