Job Description
Cable & Fiber Installation Technician – Pearl Connections, NY, OH, SC, NC, TN, FL
Pearl Connections is expanding field operations across multiple markets — New York, Ohio, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Florida — and hiring experienced cable and fiber technicians. We have a full, steady workload of residential in-home coax and fiber installations, service upgrades, troubleshooting, and customer equipment setup across all locations. This is long-term, high-volume production with W2 employment, not a short-term contract.
The Opportunity
If you know how to run a route, close jobs clean, and handle your day without hand-holding — we want to talk. You'll work independently on residential in-home coax and fiber installations, service calls, and troubleshooting. Dispatch is consistent and the work doesn't dry up.
What You'll Do
•Perform in-home coax and fiber installations at the customer premise — new connects, upgrades, and reconnects.
•Troubleshoot and repair service issues from the point of entry to customer devices.
•Install and configure ONTs, modems, routers, and TV equipment.
•Complete disconnects, downgrades, and audit work as assigned.
•Manage your daily route independently, on schedule, and to quality standards.
•Communicate clearly with customers and leave every job site clean.
What We're Looking For
Experienced techs (priority):
•Previous cable, telecom, or fiber installation experience. You've worked residential routes before and you can troubleshoot without calling in for every issue.
All candidates must have:
•Own truck, van, or SUV.
•Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
•Authorization to work in the U.S.
•Ability to climb ladders up to 25 ft, lift up to 75 lbs, and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor conditions year-round.
Compensation
•Competitive weekly pay based on production.
•W2 employment — full benefits of being on payroll.
•Steady, high-volume dispatch — no gaps, no slow weeks.
•Long-term project stability across multiple states.
•Monday–Saturday schedule.
•Weekly pay (after 3-week initial processing period)
