Qualifications
Contractor must have, Active base access or ability to obtain it (US persons, valid ID, clean background check), Demonstrated experience with CAT6 and fiber on commercial or federal sites, Own tools — Fluke certifier, OTDR, lift access as needed, General, liability insurance with COI naming us as additional insured, BICSI-certified technicians strongly preferred
Job Description
Scope at a glance
82 CAT6 drops across 31 data outlet locations (Bldg. 301D)
~2,000 ft of pre-terminated fiber optic backbone — pull, dress, connect, and test
(2) Cisco Catalyst 9300-48P-A switches — rack mount, power, ground, integrate
(4) 48-port CAT6 patch panels — mount and terminate
Grounding and bonding of racks, panels, and pathways
Firestopping at all penetrations using UL-listed systems
ANSI/TIA-606 labeling on all cables, panels, outlets, and racks
Termination per T568B at outlets and patch panels
StandardsNEC, ANSI/TIA-568, ANSI/TIA-606, BICSI best practices
Closeout deliverables (required for final payment)
Fluke DSX (or equivalent Level III/IIIe) certification PDF for all 82 CAT6 drops — wire map, length, NEXT, PSNEXT, return loss, attenuation, TIA-568 compliance
Bi-directional OTDR traces and optical loss reports for all fiber strands, with pass/fail against TIA-568 loss budgets
As-builts, ANSI/TIA-606 labeling schedule, firestop documentation with photos and UL system numbers, equipment installation record, grounding verification
Calibration certificates for all test equipment (within 12 months) submitted at mobilization
All deliverables in a single organized digital package
100% passing certification required for final payment. Failed links corrected and retested at no additional cost.
