Qualifications
Must be able to pass MVR, background, and drug screen. Ability to read locate markings and follow utility locate requirements. Lift up to 75 pounds. Safely operate construction and pulling equipment, machinery, hand tools, and power tools. Stand, walk, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday in varying weather conditions without aid.
Other Requirements
Drop bury, equipment, truck, and machine skills and experienced preferred. Have a working mobile phone with an active phone number and email address.
Job Description
The Drop Bury Technician is responsible for installing, burying, repairing (including driveway and sidewalk bores) and restoring underground telecommunications drop lines for residential and commercial customers. This role performs telecommunications drop placement activities involving fiber optic, coaxial, and conduit systems while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards, MSO expectations, and utility requirements.
The Drop Bury Technician works closely with construction crews, contractors, utility partners, MSO/Customers, and field leadership to support successful telecommunications service installations and network deployment operations.
Document completed work, field modifications, and conduit conditions. Submit completed daily work report emails.
Local crews are preferred.
