Job Description
The Fiber Drop Technician is responsible for installing and preparing the physical fiber connection from the network access point (terminal, pedestal, or pole) to customer premises. This role ensures that all drop installations are completed efficiently, meet quality standards, and are ready for service activation within required timelines. Technicians primarily utilize existing infrastructure and avoid excavation whenever possible.

Key Responsibilities:
• Install aerial and underground fiber drop lines from the network access point to residential or commercial properties
• Utilize existing conduit systems to fish and route fiber cables where available
• Install temporary drop lines when underground pathways are unavailable
• Submit accurate Buried Service Wire (BSW) requests for all jobs requiring future burial
• Verify signal path readiness to support successful service installation
• Secure and route aerial cables in compliance with safety and clearance standards
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
• Document completed work accurately, including required forms and updates

Work Environment & Schedule:
• Outdoor work in various weather conditions
• Physically demanding role requiring walking, lifting, and ladder use
• Typical workload: 6–9 jobs per day
• Schedule: Monday through Saturday
