Job Description
We are currently seeking Drop Bury Technician crews to perform the installation and burial of underground cable drops for residential and commercial service requests. This role requires physical endurance, attention to safety, and the ability to work efficiently as a team in outdoor environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and complete assigned work orders accurately and efficiently
Verify that all utility locates are cleared before beginning any digging activity
Identify and safely avoid existing underground utilities
Install and bury cable using hand tools or trenching equipment, depending on job requirements
Backfill trenches and restore the work area to its original condition
Take and submit clear photos to document completed work
Communicate effectively with dispatch, coordinators, and customers as needed
Ensure all installations meet company quality and safety standards
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Optional Saturday work available for additional hours
Workdays may extend beyond scheduled hours depending on workload
Workload Expectations:
Job length can vary from approximately 50 ft. to 2,000 ft. per assignment
Weekly production varies based on job size, location, and conditions
Requirements:
Must be able to work as part of a crew (2 or more technicians preferred)
Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work in various weather conditions
Basic knowledge of underground utilities and safe digging practices
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Good communication skills
Ability to manage time and complete jobs efficiently
