Job Description
We are hiring an experienced Drop Bury Supervisor to lead crews responsible for the installation and maintenance of underground coax and fiber lines. This role involves overseeing the operation of plows, trenchers, and boring equipment, along with hands-on field leadership and quality control.
Responsibilities:
Supervise drop bury crews performing direct burial of coax and fiber drop cables using plows, trenchers, boring tools, and hand-digging
Coordinate daily crew schedules, job assignments, and equipment to meet production targets
Ensure proper cable depth, locating procedures, and installation standards on every job
Enforce 811 dig-safe compliance and all safety protocols
Conduct QC inspections and resolve field issues, including utility conflicts
Maintain accurate daily production reports and job documentation
Train and mentor technicians on burial techniques, equipment operation, and safety standards
Communicate with team members, management, and customers
Requirements:
Drop bury or underground utility experience (required)
Supervisory or crew lead experience in a telecom or cable environment preferred; highly experienced drop bury technicians with a strong field track record may be considered
Ability to manage production goals and report metrics to management
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Valid driver's license
Valid SSN and authorization to work in the U.S.
