Qualifications
OSHA 30-hour, valid driver’s license (in good standing) & NYC DOB 40-hour or 62-hour Site Safety Training (SST). BICSI, FOA or from any other nationally recognized fiber training institution. Any manufacturer training e.g. EXFO, Fluke, Leviton, Corning, or CommScope.

Job Description
We’re looking for qualified and experienced fiber optic technicians. This role combines traditional and modern low-voltage systems, supporting a wide range of commercial, industrial, and telecom projects. A written and hands-on examination may be required to prove experience. Great pay!!!
Key Responsibilities:
Terminate, and test fiber optic cables using OTDRs, OLTS, fusion splicers, and power meters.
Experienced using Fluke OTDRs and AFL fusion splicers.
Read and interpret blueprints, cabling layouts, and technical diagrams.
Install racks, cabinet enclosures, and cable management systems for data/network infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and repair issues in fiber optic systems.
Coordinate with IT, telecom, and construction teams to ensure project alignment and smooth execution.
Maintain accurate records, labeling, and documentation for all work performed.
Follow all safety protocols and PPE use.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong working knowledge of fiber optic splicing, testing, and troubleshooting.
Familiarity with ANSI/TIA/EIA standards, grounding/bonding and structured cabling best practices.
Ability to read technical schematics and construction drawings.
Comfortable using Fluke OTDRs, multimeters, cable certifiers, and other industry tools.
Reliable, safety-conscious, and a team player with excellent communication skills.
Experience working in commercial and industrial environments.
Able to work by themselves.
