Job Description
MetroNet Market. Fiber Technicians are responsible for installing and troubleshooting cable television and internet systems in residential homes and businesses. While specific Fiber Technician job duties can vary depending on the type of systems they work with (i.e., cable television, digital phone line, internet, etc.), general duties for Fiber Technicians include:
• Provide high level of customer service;
• Troubleshooting and repairing cable system infrastructure;
• Plan for installing data and voice cables for residential cable television and home router systems;
• Upgrading / Downgrading existing cable television and internet systems;
• Performing cable system maintenance.
