Island Wiring LLC is seeking an experienced Ground Hand to support aerial construction crews on fiber and utility projects in Birmingham and the surrounding area. We’re looking for dependable workers with construction or telecom experience who understand job site safety, productivity, and teamwork.
This role is ideal for candidates with backgrounds in aerial fiber, utilities, lineman support, or underground construction who want steady work and growth.
Key Duties:
Support linemen and aerial techs on pole and strand work
Handle fiber reels, lashers, ladders, rigging, and tools
Set up traffic control and safe work zones
Assist with loading, staging, and material management
Maintain clean, organized, and OSHA-compliant job sites
