Qualifications
Experience installing and/or burying fiber optic drop lines or coax drops; able to read simple prints, maps, and work orders; comfortable using pneumatic boring tools, trenchers, and hand digging when required; reliable, detailed-oriented, and able to meet dailing production goals; must operate as an independent contractor with own crew.
Other Requirements
Needs to be professional when interacting with the public. Need to remain calm when other parties are upset or verbally abusive. Required tools: Truck or work van, Boring tool / pneumatic missile, shovels, spades, tampers, hand tools, rakes brooms, sod cutters, and safety gear.
Job Description
Ronnie's Cable Bury is seeking experience two-man crews to install and bury residential fiber optic drop lines in Pinellas County Florida.
Work consists of installing new underground fiber drops from designated sod box to the power meter of the home; including boring under sidewalks/driveways, trenching where permitted, placing conduit or direct bury cable, and restoring yards to pre-construction condition. Crews will receive daily work orders with footage and locations. This is production-based work with steady volume.
Responsibilities:
Instal and bury fiber drop lines per specifications; bore under sidewalks and driveways as needed; trench, place cable or conduit, and backfill; restore lawns, mulch, and disturbed areas neatly; communicate job status and completion; take pictures of finished job and upload them to given dropbox link. If anybody is verbally abusive at a work site, take notes and inform the supervisor.
