2+ yrs HDD experience in fiber optic/telecom/utility underground installs
Own reliable directional drill rig (mini/mid-size preferred) + tools (locator, mud system)
Valid driver’s license; Class A/B CDL strongly preferred
Knowledge of south LA terrain (wetlands, bayous, clay/sand) & frac-out prevention
Read locates/blueprints
Job Description
Subcontractor HDD Crew – Fiber Optic Underground
South Louisiana (Lafayette, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Lake Charles, Houma, Thibodaux & surrounding areas)
1099 Subcontractor – Piece rate pay per completed bore/footage
Perform HDD for fiber conduit/cable: pilot bore, ream, pullback. Follow plans/locates, manage fluids, coordinate with GC on pits/restoration. Supply own insured rig/tools. Ensure OSHA safety, no utility strikes. Document work for invoicing.
