Job Description
The Role:
We are hiring one experienced Fiber Technician based in the Los Angeles area to handle Intrabuilding Fiber Drops. This is a "Drop & Splice" role.
The Scope:
• Workload: Max of 4 units (Small MDU/limited daily volume in LA).
• Pathway: Surface-mount molding, microduct, or invisible fiber. Note: Pathway placement is strictly dependent on Property Owner approval. You must follow the specific installation method approved for each building (no "freestyling").
• Termination: Fusion splice at the floor terminal and unit wall jack.
• No Electronics: You are not installing ONTs or power supplies. Just the fiber path.
Travel Opportunity:
• While the LA scope is limited to a max of 4 units, work is available in other parts of California (Nor-Cal & So-Cal) for a technician willing to travel.
Requirements:
• Splicing: Must be proficient with single fiber fusion splicing.
• Finish Work: High attention to detail—molding must be straight, and bends must be clean.
• Gear: Must have your own truck/van, splicing equipment, and hand tools.
• Local: Must be based in LA/San Fernando Valley.
The Pay:
• Paid per Unit (Competitive Piece Rate).
• Net 30 Pay Terms (Weekly payments commence after initial 30-day hold).
