Qualifications
TAK West Shore is seeking an experienced and professional Foreman to lead a 3-person directional drill team throughout Montana. This is a year-round, full-time position. The team will consist of the Foreman, driller, and laborer. A vehicle and trailer for the drill, and vehicle and trailer for the cable reel will be provided. A CDL driver's license is required. This person is expected to have expert knowledge of all types of directional drills and their proper use.

This is a leadership position. TAK West Shore is seeking someone with 5+ year(s) of underground telecommunications construction experience. Must be able to motivate team members and accomplish company objectives, sometimes under demanding circumstances.
Job Description
The Foreman is the leader of the team and will oversee, coordinate and schedule the activities of construction technicians who will be pulling/placing cables underground. Must be able to perform the following duties:
• Read blueprints to determine construction requirements and to plan procedures
• Inspect work progress, equipment and construction sites to verify safety and to ensure that specifications are met
• Locate, measure and mark site locations and placement of structures and equipment, using measuring and marking equipment
• Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities
• Estimate material and worker requirements to complete jobs
• Train workers in construction methods, operation of equipment, safety procedures and company policies
• Experience pulling/placing cables underground required
• Working knowledge on policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, OSHA and operating safety standards
• Working knowledge of construction trenching, missiling, placing of duct, CIC, coax, fiber, pedestals & vaults
• Ability to safely operate various types of utility vehicles and equipment
• Continuous support of the mission, vision, ethics and values of TAK Communications
• Ability to occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, electricity and/or powerlines, risk of exposure to electrical shock, radiation, vibration
• Ability to safely work and navigate various terrains, managing equipment, safety equipment and tools
• Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver’s license is required if the role involves driving
• Passing of all pre-employment requirements (MVR, Background Check, Drug Screen)
