Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and skilled Drop Bury & Installer Contractors to join our team and contribute to the installation and maintenance of telecommunication infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for safely performing residential, business & underground cable installations, including burying fiber optic lines and other low voltage cabling, ensuring reliable network connectivity for our clients. Your expertise in heavy equipment operation, hand tools, and construction practices will be essential in delivering high-quality results efficiently and safely. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical infrastructure projects that keep communities connected and support cutting-edge IT and telecommunication systems.
Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, and trenchers to perform underground cable installation tasks.
Bury fiber optic cables and coax cable according to schematics and project specifications.
Use hand tools and power tools to prepare trenches, install conduits, and secure cabling in accordance with safety standards.
Follow detailed schematics, technical drawings, and network infrastructure plans to ensure accurate placement of cables.
Conduct site inspections to verify proper burial depth, cable integrity, and adherence to safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues related to cabling, electrical systems, or network infrastructure during installation processes.
Skills
Proven experience in field service operations involving heavy equipment and construction practices.
Strong knowledge of telecommunication systems including fiber splicing, cabling.
Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, and electrical equipment safely and efficiently.
