Job Description
Looking for individuals who are experienced in Directional Drilling, excavating, locating and/ or construction labor. Drilling, excavating and locating candidates should have at least 3 years experience and a CDL is a plus. Laborers experience is preferred, but will train.
Responsibilities:
Operate Vermeer and/ or Ditch Witch Horizontal Directional Drill
Operate DigiTrac F2/ F5 locator
Operate Kubota mini excavator
Manual constructions labor
Ability and understanding how to pothole, set hand holes and complete tie-ins
Drive equipment to the jobsite
Conduct post-job quality checks
Clean, check fluid levels and conduct a visual inspection of vehicle/equipment to assure your vehicle/equipment is performing at optimum safety, perform needed maintenance including winterizing equipment.
Communicates with Supervisor daily
Follows specifications for the job and company policies
Complies with safety procedures while driving and at job site
Strive for optimal production while working safely and performing quality work
Strong knowledge of underground utilities
Understanding of client and company work specifications
Self-motivated, safety, quality and production minded
Ability to read and comprehend and follow all quality/safety policies and procedures
Willing to work as a team
Willing to travel
Working outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions
Walking over uneven terrain along roads in the right of way
Standing up to 8 hours per day, occasionally up to 12 hours
Routinely lifting and carrying up to 75 lbs
Traveling out-of-town throughout the state as projects become available
Valid driver's license, CDL is a plus
