TDY Construction Manager

Based out of Mishawaka, Indiana - but employee will be expected to be TDY
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline preferred.
Other Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management required (7+ years preferred). Previous Telecommunications Construction experience highly desired. Prior experience managing field construction teams and multiple simultaneous projects required. Prior experience managing remote field construction project highly desired.
Job Description
Daily Operations
Oversee Field Supervisors and Associate Project Managers in assigned markets.
Manage and schedule daily workloads for company crews and subcontractors.
Oversee the production and quality of all construction activities within the reporting structure.
Report daily production and job status updates to customers and leadership.
Serve as liaison between customers, crews, and management to ensure project alignment.
Financial Responsibilities
Review and approve subcontractor invoices and crew labor production reports.
Determine billing amounts based on completed work and maintain project budgets.
Manage Work-In-Progress (WIP) to ensure adherence to financial goals and timelines.
Prepare and provide quotes or bids for leadership review.
Customer Relations
Maintain ongoing communication with key customer contacts to manage expectations.
Resolve customer issues and provide escalation management as needed.
Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships to support future business opportunities.
Document and submit all change orders in a timely manner to ensure proper compensation for additional work performed.
Project Management
Manage project development from initiation to closure
Serve as overall job owner for duration of project
Ensure all projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Operational Leadership
Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to direct reports.
Recruit, onboard, and manage subcontractor workforce based on project demands.
Conduct employee performance evaluations and enforce company policies.
Oversee all company-owned equipment and materials within the assigned work area.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality control, and operational policies.
Other Duties
Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Field Operations or senior leadership.
Required Skills:
Proven success in construction management and field operations.
Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
Proficiency in construction management software and project tracking tools.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Competent in conflict resolution and crisis management.
Highly organized with exceptional time management and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
