Qualifications
CATV asbuilt mapping experience. Able to identify Active, passives, couplers and cable types. 1–3 years of CATV, telecom, or utility field experience. Understanding of coax and fiber construction (aerial & underground). Basic knowledge of GO95 / GO128 / CPUC rules. Proficiency with field mapping tools, measureing wheel, camera and binoculars. Ability to read and interpret CATV system maps. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel daily to job sites.
Job Description
The CATV As-Built Field Mapper is responsible for capturing accurate, real-time field data of existing system to include value, type manufacture. This role documents existing field conditions, validates equipment in the field, and prepares detailed as-built drawings that meet client standards.
