Directional Drill Operator / Locator – Detroit, MI
Lighthouse Technologies is seeking an experienced Directional Drill Operator / Locator to join our team in Detroit, MI. This role involves setting up and operating directional boring equipment, overseeing drilling operations, and ensuring safe, high-quality underground installations.
What You’ll Do:
- Operate and maintain directional drills (Vermeer, Ditch Witch, etc.)
- Read and interpret locating information and resolve utility conflicts
- Perform drilling, conduit pullbacks, fiber placement, and restoration
- Lead crew members and ensure safety compliance
- Conduct pre- and post-job inspections and maintenance
What You’ll Need:
- Class A CDL (required)
- Telecom construction experience
- Experience drilling in various soil conditions and around utilities
- Dig Safe certification
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work outdoors in all conditions
- Leadership and strong communication skills
