Qualifications
Previous experience in fiber optic installation and splicing preferred. Ability to operate off ladders/bucket trucks, small plows, and hand digging tools safely and effectively. Strong knowledge of aerial and underground fiber construction practices. Proficiency in fusion splicing.
Other Requirements
Must provide your own machines and insurance. Experience in aerial and underground drops, fusion splicing and installation.
Job Description
Perform turnkey FTTH installations including aerial and/or buried drops and in home install. Operate a ladder or bucket truck to safely hang aerial fiber. Utilize small plows and hand-dig methods for direct-bury fiber placement. Conduct fusion splicing. Complete in-home installations including CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) activation and service verification. Handle aerial drops and in-home installs on the same day, ensuring timely service delivery.
