Qualifications
Prior experience with supervising fiber optic installation and all underground construction. Be familiar with state rules and regulations including applicable state 811 laws. Be bilingual (Spanish and English).
Job Description
Fiber optic installation field supervisor oversees the everyday field operations. A supervisor ensures that the projects are completed on time, while ensuring proper digging and placement techniques are followed. Is a point of contact for homeowners and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- supervise daily installation
- ensure work is performed according to project specifications and company guidelines
- lead and mentor field crews and subcontractors
- assign tasks and evaluate team performance
- promote culture of safety and quality
- conduct on-site inspections and verify accuracy of fiber installations
- maintain and provide accurate reports of work conducted.
- resolve customer concerns
- communicate project status and updates
- close out daily progress reports
- keep redlines for ongoing projects updated
- assist in inventory management of tools, equipment and materials
